Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus, Live!

Mars/Venus Live! is open off-Broadway!

Adapted from John Gray's iconic book, this one-man show version of Men Are From Mars, Women Are From Venus builds on the success of the bestselling relationship guide. Fusing theater and stand-up comedy, actor-comedian Peter Story gives his own hilarious take on the age-old battle of the sexes, including his initial resistance to the book and how his feelings changed after he met the author. Story shares his newfound knowledge of how men and women communicate — or miscommunicate — in a series of vignettes covering everything from dating and marriage to the goings-on in the bedroom.

Find our more about Mars/Venus Live! here.

"Director Mindy Cooper has cleverly crafted a piece that relies heavily on the strengths of its lone ranger, Peter Story. Our resident “Martian” commands a stage simply dressed with a couple pieces of furniture, two hanging fixtures, and two television displays on either side of the audience. The televisions are used for the animations provided by Bazillion Pictures, which add an extra layer of comedy—illustrating scientific discoveries narrated by Mars’s real-life author, John Gray."

Theater Is Easy

"Director Mindy Cooper guides Story through Gray and adaptor Eric Coble’s piece. Cooper and her creative team smartly allowed Story be the star, though the videos by Bazillion Productions featuring Dr. Gray and those amazing animated characters certainly had their shining moments."

Theater in the Now

"A hilarious one-man-parody from the New York Times #1 best-selling book of the last decade. The show was a hoot!"
